Although it may be knowledge how most e-commerce shops work is always a good idea to document the workflow in a visual format so this can be referenced at any point during development. A good example is when we build custom designed e-commerce website solutions. This helps us to understand how components of a project will connect together and helps us to write more accurate code. We find that it is easier to break down complex projects into smaller parts and to represent the workflow using a visual diagram.
